How the TBI Waiver Helps
Supporting Independence, Choice, and Community Living
The TBI Waiver can provide Medicaid-funded home- and community-based services for eligible people who would otherwise require nursing-facility level care. Services are organized around an individualized service plan and the participant’s goals.
Individualized Planning
Participants work with a Service Coordinator to develop a plan based on needs, strengths, goals, and preferences.
Rehabilitation & Support
Approved services can help participants maintain function, independence, and community participation.
Participant Choice
The waiver is structured around individual choice, community integration, and person-centered support.
